Stephen Schiffman goes into skills and techniques that can be used in the sales world to not only increase sales conversions, but to also make sure that you please the customer and keep a long relationship with them. The book has many useful tips on how to make a sale and keep a loyal customer base. The book has great information that only comes from those with experience in the sales world, however the book definitely seems to go over certain points and gets very repetitive and partially annoying. Don’t take that as me saying it does not have very amazing unique techniques on how to gain a prospect and actually lead them through the sales process, but it definitely does repeat itself a lot.

As the book is described above it is a fast book to read, with information that can be easily understood and implemented into our lives. How Successful People Lead is a perfect book that explains to people that just because you are in a POSITION of leadership, does not mean that you are actually a leader. The lowest level of leadership is position and there are five levels of leadership.
The Average read time of this book is just over three hours, however if you have the hardcover book as I do, it was easily read in about two and a half hours. Filled with insights on how an actual leader goes about leading, it also explains how you cannot be a passive leader, but you are always with your people to the left, right, above you, and the subordinates constantly improving their skills and abilities using the Pareto Principal as a basis for guiding young leaders on the path to becoming a four or five level leader.
